Asian styles are often largely inspired by colors of nature and decorations include mimicking scenic landscapes and reinterpret natural colors to match the interior. Whites, creams, light blues, and grays work as a color palette, however, don’t forget that vibrant hues are used as accent colors, for instance pinks, reds and purple are all an integral part of the design. The end goal is a relaxed and laid-back ambiance.

You will notice that many roofs that are Asian inspired tend to have curved roofs, like temple roofs, as they believed that curved shape would ward off evil spirits, which could only travel in straight lines.

Something to keep in mind is that balance is the key to any Asian inspired design. Sleek minimalism is achieved through clean and well-defined straight lines and symmetry. Clutter is not something welcomed in this design, it’s best to keep only a few key items on display. Think the simpler the better.
